Timing was perfect too since Saturday I had a Court of Honor ceremony to attend for my younger brother. He became an Eagle Scout! I was sad thinking I would be miserable there and even worried I would not be able to attend. However, things worked out pretty well. I felt pretty decent during the event. Also, I must have looked okay, since no one said anything about my skin. In fact, I got compliments on my hair and was told I was "looking good." Success! I did wear a blazer, tights with my dress, and a scarf to cover up as much as possible. Strategic fashion.
Here I am Saturday with my brother:
My grandparents were visiting this past week from Puerto Rico so I've been out and about, keeping busy. They came last Wednesday. I wasn't feeling too good the first couple days, but thankfully that changed. I don't see them very often so I'm glad I was able to feel well enough to enjoy their company.
Photo from Tuesday, outside in the sun so you can see more accurately skin color and texture:
I have plenty more photos and quiet a few post topics in mind to work on so stay tuned. I hope you all are healing and feeling better. For those that may not be doing so well, my thoughts go out to you. I know your pain.... Please stay strong and have faith. It will pass!

Great to hear! I too thought I was starting a new flare but today my skin has seemingly healed overnight! Do you think stopping the Aveeno helped you? It seems too soon to have an effect but who knows. Very sexy pic if you don't mind me saying!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's funny how the skin cycles so quickly at times. I think it's a good sign of healing. I can't directly attribute it to stopping the Aveeno since I noticed a turn around the day before I stopped using it on my hands but I know it's definitely not hurting anything! Although, I do think my hands are healing much faster now.
DeleteChantal, my comment about your last pic might have been inappropriate. I apologize if so. I meant sexy in how it's done. I find many of your pictures to be very insightful and I see them as very artful, and extremely good art at that! Like the pic you did with the clock. It expresses a lot without saying anything. This pic is sexy to me in an artful way. I don't want you to think I'm some dirty old man. I'm not really that old :-) I think you are going to be very successful in life with the kind of mind you have. I look forward to your posts and pics. They are always insightful. Thanks again!
DeleteHi, Dan. Thank you for the compliments, although I hope I haven't mislead you or others into thinking the artistic pictures are me or taken by me. I merely find and sometimes edit pictures on the internet that I feel symbolize my emotions and thoughts in that moment. Also, don't worry you did not come off as a dirty old man, haha.
DeleteOh, I thought it was you because of the hair. Either way, you have a real talent at expressing yourself. Happy healing!
DeleteI know, I realized after the fact that girl's hair can easily be mistaken for mine. I guess I'm naturally drawn to images of brunettes. Sorry for the confusion. Happy healing to you too!
Deletegreat to see things going well with you Chantal! u look great and very normal to me haha it's nice to be out and about. i can't wait to do that! xxx ahfaye
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ayfaye. You will get there! I was reading your blog the other day. It breaks my heart to see the pain steroids has caused so many. You are so brave and inspiring! I look forward to seeing your before and after photos. xx
DeleteAh, sorry! I realized I misspelled your name. Ahfaye, not Ayfaye... oops!
